KEMI, utilizes Optum also known as TMESYS as their Rx manager. When filling a work related Rx, Optum's national pharmacy of choice is Walgreen's. Injured EE's may utilize any pharmacy they wish, however, utilizing a Walgreen's pharmacy may expedite the process.
When having a Rx filled, simply tell the pharmacy it is for a Worker's Compensation injury. The injured worker can provide the pharmacy with the TMESYS phone number which is 800-964-2531 ext 2.
Should the pharmacy have any questions, they can contact KEMI prior to 5pm directly at 859-425-7800. Once your claim has been processed you will be issued a pharmacy card from Optum that looks similar to this one.
